1. Ciders are perfect for summer entertaining.

We at Brewers Choice don’t really understand it but some people don’t like beer. For summer entertaining it’s a great idea to have a cider on hand for Aunt Mavis. Ciders are refreshing and are extremely thirst quenching on a hot day.

2. Ciders are easy to brew.

Ciders are reliable. There are less variables in brewing a cider compared to a beer or spirit so they’re perfect for new brewers. Most cider yeasts are fairly heat tolerant too.

3. We’ve got a wide range of different flavours of cider.

There’s far more to cider than just apple! We’ve got a whole range of exciting cider flavours including Blueberry, Peach and Passionfruit, Raspberry and Lime, Raspberry and Mango, Strawberry and Pear, and Mixed Berry. If you’re feeling extra creative you can even add hops to your cider like the award winning Hills Cider.

4. No extra equipment required.

All of our cider kits are 100% compatible with our brewing starter kits. So if you’ve just received a beer starter kit for Christmas congratulations, you’ve also received a cider starter kit. Also, if you’re interested in brewing ciders we can always swap out the default beer kit in our starter kits for a cider kit – just as your store manager.

5. Many cider kits are gluten free.

Cider is a fairly simple beverage comprised of mostly juice and dextrose. This means that often ciders are gluten free. Check with your store manager about which kit to buy if you’re gluten intolerant or sensitive.
